October 2018 Band Update
The Don Giovannis was formed in 2008 in Northern California. We just finished our 10th year of playing
traditional Italian songs by completing a new album, singing the National Anthem of the USA at a San
Francisco Giants baseball game and playing at the San Gennaro Festival in Seattle Washington. In the
coming years we hope to be able to play at other Italian cultural events around the U.S. The band is
usually known as Ancora! when we perform live.
When we began learning these traditional Italian songs, our only refrences were full orchestral
arrangements with an operatic vocalist, or accordion and mandolin arrangements, sometimes without
vocal. We decided to play these beautiful songs with the instruments we grew up with: drums, bass,
guitar, accordion, mandolin and keyboards.
Our recorded music has been well received on Pandora Internet Radio, Spotify and Apple Music. We hope
that you can hear us online and we invite you to download any of our 14 newly recorded songs.
